Update on the week
It’s been a few days… let’s do a recap.
Tuesday I felt very sick, so I called in to work. That took away my vacation and sick time so far. Wednesday, I woke up not feeling that great again and called in to work. Thursday I went into work and three hours in I began to feel very hot. So I went and purchased a thermometer and sure enough, I had a fever. I left work, came home and rested for a little bit to see if I needed to go to the doctor. By the time Gray got home, my fever had gone away but I felt sick. Friday I woke up and still felt sick. We evaluated what to do and I decided that I’d be miserable if I went into work. I’ve been battling with sinus headaches and congestion and then on top of things, my stomach has been giving me a lot of problems with digestion. The pain from my stomach is enough to make me stop doing everything and focus on it. We have no idea why I’m having it, although apparently my stomach acid is not doing its job, or doing it too well? I am not entirely sure.
So here it is on Saturday, I’m still having sinus issues, and no I’ve not gone to the doctor. We’re on a strict budget and my insurance doesn’t pay for prescriptions half the time. I didn’t want to go in just for them to tell me it’s allergy/sinus related. I know that.
So today has been a busy day with getting errands done. I started clipping coupons when we got married and we used some today to get some good deals. We also took a small timeout to go watch Mamma Mia as a little gift to ourselves for being married 3 months tomorrow! The movie was amazing and Gray even survived it, although he kept stating that he wanted some of what they were smoking, haha.
Gray is finally on summer vacation and gets two weeks off before school and work start back up again. He’s very excited about that and I’m envious that he has that much time off. I’ll be off at work and he’ll be at home playing computer games all day. Oh well, at least he will still be cooking dinner.
We’re hoping that his grades have improved enough that he will be able to regain the lottery scholarship from school. It will help us out tremendously with finances. We’re not in serious debt, but some extra money will help us to pay off some of it earlier rather than later.
Last but not least, Chile is doing very well. The other night we let him out with Chad and Trina over. He ran around so much that when they left, he was sleeping in his chinchilla bath dust. I have pictures of this that I hope to put up soon. He’s quite entertaining to us.
That’s all for now, updates are becoming scarce as the only interesting thing I can post about is work and obviously, I can’t post much about it.
