It's nice to meet you, neighbor

We first met our neighbors when Gray moved in back in April. There was a man with red hair Gray recognized from a computer science class, his name was Mark Fulton. Well, we found out he had a wife Vivivan, and they were both around our age. Unfortunately, life got busy and we only ever said hey to them when we saw them. Now, they’ve moved to an apartment in a different section of our complex because they’re pregnant and need a bigger space.

Well, Friday night Gray and I were bored so we offered to help them move. As luck would have it, we ended up asking as they were finishing up. A few minutes later, Mark knocked on our door and invited us to go with them to see Kung Fu Panda at the university’s theater. We politely said no until he offered to treat us and then we just couldn’t refuse.

So, we spent Friday night enjoying a humorous movie and getting to know our neighbors a bit better. It was so nice, for me, to get out of the house and just to be able to enjoy something nice and new.

The experience with them makes us sad they are moving. We know a few of our other neighbors, but we’re now back to being the only ones without kids. It’s different when kids are involved.

Gray and I are struggling to find some married friends to hang out with. Yes, we’ve met some at church, but they’re all a little older than us. With Gray not being out of college yet, it’s nice to meet married college students. We can relate to them a lot better. After all, we’re not yet in a financial state that a lot of our married friends are. We live in an apartment and will probably be living here for a while.

I can only hope our new neighbors will be young and married.
