WW Week 2
This morning I weighed myself and I had lost 2.8 pounds this week. That brings my total weight loss to 7 pounds in two weeks!
Gray also lost 7 pounds in the two weeks we’ve been trying to lose weight. I think we’ve both adjusted to our new eating habits quite nicely.
I realized that not only does eating right help, but drinking water does as well. At the beginning of the week I slacked off on my water intake. After a few days, I realized I wasn’t losing any weight and then I started drinking my daily water. The next day I had lost a pound. I don’t think this is a coincidence, our bodies need water to function properly so drinking my water help me lose some toxins from my body.
I’ve also been taking my measurements because although weight may fluctuate, measurements don’t lie! I’m proud to say that I’ve lost at least a quarter of an inch in my waist, hips, chest, and neck areas. I started taking my measurements back in August when I started working out and from working out a month, I lost a few inches. I gained them back in November when I didn’t care about eating right. Now I’m slowly making my way back down to September’s losses.
Eating right has effected more than just my body. I’ve been choosing meals that requires fresh veggies, which makes our grocery bill much lighter! We only buy milk for our meals, drinking water for everything else. I did buy some egg nog, but I’ve been drinking it slowly and according to serving size.
The biggest challenge is going to be the week we are away from home. I’m not sure how we’ll manage, but I guess we will. It will be rather tempting to eat everything in sight, but hopefully what we’ve learned over the past two weeks will settle in our brains. I’m hoping that next Monday I will have lost two or three more pounds. Then I will officially be in my normal weight range. Many of you have misunderstood that I was only wanting to lose 10 pounds. You see, I was 10 pounds overweight, but I’d really like to lose 25 pounds and be back down to where I was just a year ago. It’s doable and I’m ready to be there!
