2008 in Review
So tomorrow it will officially be 2009! I am more than excited about this for several reasons, the biggest one being that I’m going back to school to become a nurse. Let’s recap the past year:
January: My first month being a college graduate. I was also planning a wedding and job hunting. Gray was back in school and hating me for not being in school.
February: Our 2nd Valentine’s Day together and first as an engaged couple. I applied to work at Olive Garden but didn’t get another interview. I started exercising for the wedding and accomplishing a lot of bridal duties, like favors and the such.
March: Spring break found us back at our homes instead of traveling. Gray finally turned 21 and had his bachelor party. I had my first bridal shower and we began apartment hunting.
April: We celebrated Trina’s birthday, many other bridal showers, and moved Gray into our first apartment. I was stressed out due to several issues but we made it through!
May: We watched Sam graduate and then a week later were hitched. The honeymoon to the Bahamas was amazing. We settled into the apartment with Gray working and taking a summer class. I began more job hunting. We watched Taylor graduate in Memphis.
June: We welcomed a new member to our family, a chinchilla we named Chile. I got a job and we all cheered!
July: My last few days of freedom were spent in Memphis for the 4th of July. I started working the following Monday and turned 23 at the end of the month. My friends through Chad and myself a surprise murder mystery dinner party and I managed to kill my car battery twice at work.
August: I began to take anxiety medication and quit the only job I’ve ever hated. I started exercising regularly to lose some weight.
September: The gas shortage hit home with crazy prices and I was very glad I was no longer working in Nashville. I began to look for another job and perfect the art of cooking.
October: I stopped exercising because I wasn’t losing any weight. I enjoyed watching scary movies through Halloween and started working for ChaCha.
November: I voted in one of the most intense elections I’ve ever seen. I also completed NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo successfully. At Thanksgiving I decided to give Weight Watchers a try to lose weight.
December: I started Weight Watchers and joined a few communities to keep me going. I managed to lose 7lbs during my first month, despite a few setbacks. I also decided to go back to school and ran around getting paperwork done. We celebrated Christmas all over Tennessee and are finally back home to ring in the New Year.
