Week 4: Shrinking Jeans
When I weighed myself on Monday I was not sure what to expect. I knew the week away from home was hard because of all the delicious food we had eaten.
I came away with only gaining .4 lbs, which is AMAZING. I wish I could have been stronger, but it’s hard to calculate points on recipes you don’t cook yourself. Plus, I was eating a little junk food here and there. I did try to work out a few days while we were in Memphis because my in-laws have a few home gym machines in their basement. I walked on the treadmill for two days to even out some of what I had eaten.
Now we are in another week and I’m already noticing bad habits re-appearing. I think the big problem is that if I see sweets, I want to eat them. I don’t want to throw them away! So I’ve been trying to get rid of any sweets so that I’m not tempted. I’m also trying to pick out recipes but carefully watch what we eat. My Simple & Delicious magazine just arrived and the recipes are too good not to try them.
We also took measurements of my body and I gained a little in a few and lost in a few. Measuring has been helping me realize where the fat goes and comes off on my body. I really like charts so here are my charts for the past month.
You will noticed the first date was in September, back when I was doing weight-loss by exercising. It’s neat to compare the two ways because I have definitely not exercised as much this month.
So, after a month I’ve lost about 7lbs and hopefully I will lose more in the months to come.
