Weigh-in Time

After a lot of thinking, I changed my weigh-in day to Sunday. Because of school and work, Monday was no longer an easy day to weigh-in. Gray usually does my measurements because it’s a pain for me to do them in the mirror. He is unavailable Mondays because he’s at work, so I changed the date for convenience. Also, the past few weeks I’ve had parties on Sundays that totally throw me off on Mondays. I decided that I was tired of putting myself through torture on Mondays when I gained weight and then Tuesday I lost it all again. It was a vicious cycle.

So today I weighed in and I had lost over a pound! This is amazing because I’ve been plateaued for a month or more. I’ve been doing a lot more exercise, so that has probably helped my snacking.

I also took my measurements and was surprised to see that both my hips and waist have come down further than they’ve been in months. I don’t remember them being this small since before I got married, 9 months ago!

Gray also lost a lot of weight in the past two weeks. He is down about 6 pounds and I’m hoping we can keep it off of him. Unlike me, he hates gym machines and prefers to work out by doing an activity he likes. I’ve been playing racquetball with him every weekend and he also did some rock wall climbing at the gym on Friday. Perhaps when it gets warmer we can play some tennis.

I know I still have a ways to go, but I’m happy to be losing some more weight. My BMI is 25.20 which means I’m so close to being considered “normal weight” again!

    That's great news Becca. I totally hear you on the weigh-in day. I choose Wednesday because weekends are always my splurge time and I want to make sure I have a couple of days to recover before I have to document my weight. I think it's awesome that you're measuring too. I need to get a tape measure and start doing it too.

    I think it's great that your husband is on this journey with you! It's so much easier when you have the support of the person you love most. Good luck to both of you this week! Keep up the good work!

    I agree with Christy. I like WI on Wednesdays so that I can recover from the weekend. I think that's a great idea to measure yorself. I think measurements and how your clothes fit you is just as important as your actual weight.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one. I may actually switch it to Wednesdays so I can finally line up with the Sisterhood, I'm not sure yet.

    Thanks for the advice. I actually decided to just switch my date to Wednesday as well. I've been sick this week so I'm not sure how it will turn out, but it works out the best. Thanks!
