Why do I get sick at the worst times ever?
Remember that update that I said would come about Nashville? It’s going to be delayed for at least another day because I have the flu. Yes, the flu.
The last time I remember being this sick when it didn’t involve allergies was high school. I made it through all 4 1/2 year of college the first time without getting anything horrible.
Tuesday night as we were going to bed I felt some slight coughing, but nothing intense. Wednesday I woke up feeling really bad and achy and decided to stay home from school. Around noon I began to feel very cold and took my temperature, I found out I had a fever. About 1:30 in the afternoon I took pain reliever and congestion medicine. I was coughing, feeling achy, and my fever went up to 100.9. We decided if I wasn’t feeling better by 5:30 we’d go to a doctor.
So at around 6 we left to go to the CVS Minute Clinic. The nice APN at the clinic gave me a flu test and we determined I have the flu. I last had the flu in 7th grade, it was right when Titanic came out in theaters.
So I got a butt-load of medicine and was told to take the next few days off from school and work. Unfortunately I am freaking out because I have tests next week. What a perfect time to get sick huh?
