Update on working out and weight-loss

So today is weight-in day, meaning I have to face the music….

Thank goodness it is good music, I lost 1.4 lbs this week for a weight of 145.6!

I am going to focus this week and lose even more. :)

Remember when I promised to review pilates? Well that time has come!

Pilates has not at all been what I expected, but in a good way!

We’ve been learning some basic techniques and yesterday we finally started to get into a routine. I was a sweaty mess at the end of the workout, seriously. I can already tell a different in my stomach area, which is where pilates targets most, the core.

Pilates has been challenging and fun so far and I know it gets more challenging as time goes on. It is definitely helping to improve my balance, flexibility, and posture.

Also, I’ve been doing the 30 day EA Active Sports challenge with the sisterhood. I really think this has been helping with my weight-loss as well. For one, I’ve been getting a lot of weight training in (more than I did before) because of it, and I believe that I am building up my muscles, which causes more weight-loss. I lost a few days because my schedule was insane and then I had blood work done (vaccination update coming soon!) so I decided to skip that day. Well, I’m back on track now and I’ve been counting my points, so weight loss here I come!

    congrats on the loss! :) they've started a new pilates class where i work out. i really enjoyed the preview and am going to try to catch the class when i can.

    Congrats Becca! I am back to counting points this week and did the "weight loss" program on the treadmill this morning and was able to complete it. I need some work on the core tho.

  4. WAY TO GO, BECCA!!!! I might have to look into a pilates DVD or something, because I need some serious work in my stomach area. My only disappointment with the EAS Active workout is that it seems to focus more on everything BUT the stomach!

    Keep up the good work! It's really paying off for you! We weigh the exact same today, so now I've got to kick it up so you don't pass me up :)
