More shots to come… dangit!
So, today I went back to Health Services to get my second TB skin test and to check on my blood work. It turns out that I do not have immunity to MMR or Varicella (chicken pox), but I do have hep-b immunity. Hmm. They have me a MMR booster today and in a month I get the varicella vaccine. Basically, I freaked out today because the nursing application is due in less than a week and obviously I can’t get all this done by then. I talked with the nursing department and they said as long as I was in the process of getting the vaccines, I’m fine. I hope that holds true when I go to turn in my application!
The other thing this week is that I discovered paperbackswap.com and it’s brother site swapadvd.com. Basically, you take your old books and dvds you don’t want anymore and you can swap them permanently. You post your items and when you finally send them to the new owner, you get a credit which can be used to get a new book/dvd for yourself. So basically, I’m getting rid of my old books/dvds and getting new (to me) copies… it’s great! I’ve already sent off two books and a dvd and I’m getting a book in the mail, so exciting. 
So basically my life for the next week will probably be pretty stressful until my application is turned in. I sure hope nursing school is worth all of this!
