Shrinkvivor: Weigh in #7

Hello everyone! This week I was exiled… to Exile Island.

I was OK with this because I honestly had felt so pressured the last few weeks to lose weight to help my tribe and stay off Exile Island. Ironically, this week I did better than the last two weeks combined.
This Week: 143.8 lbs
Last Week: 144.4 lbs
Challenge Total Loss: 3.8 lbs
Total Weigh Loss since August ’10: 10.2 lbs
Week Challenges:
Miles:2.28 I know… not much, but I was just glad I made it to the gym at all!
Previous challenges: We ate out several times in the past week. Call it laziness, call it hunger, I’m not sure what to call it, but it happened… and I think it was needed this week. I did drink as much water as possible and tried to still get in veggies. We had cupcakes at school which I couldn’t have anyways, but I did have a lot of popcorn.

So, still losing inches and weight. I’m not sure if I made it through a small plateau or what, but I’m SO happy to finally get a 10# button you guys! Now, the challenge ends next week and my original goal was to reach the 130s. I’m not sure if that will happen, but I think I’m getting closer. The 140-142 range is usually where I get stuck so I’m going to try and push through to beat this… here goes another week!

Over 3lbs is awesome!! You will not get stuck this time, I believe in you and I know can do it! Don't even let that thought enter your mind! WOOT WOOT!
@Trish, Thank you! I plan on kicking into high gear!
That scale's going the right direction! Good job!
@Heather A., Thank you. :)
Awesome job & awesome attitude! You are going to kick this plateau to the curb!
@Jamee, Thank you! I plan to definitely kick this plateau and see those 130s! My goal for is by Thanksgiving and then it will STAY OFF. hehe
SO glad you went easy on yourself this week! Didn't you just have a big race?!?! Your body needs that for a couple of weeks. You are doing great and I am sure you will kick it back in gear soon!
@Tiffany, I did just do a 1/2 but I wanted to do something, so I did the elliptical this week. I'm going to try and go to Zumba on Thursday, just wanting to get into some exercise and have some fun. :)
Sometimes it just doesn't make sense, but we accept it anyway. I suspect we both had some water retention/lactic acid buildup after our 1/2s that contributed to our gains last week. This week that crap is gone and it's time to start anew. I only got 5.5 miles in last week, but I swam and biked too. Finding some other forms of exercise will probably do us both some good. I still plan on running (I'm thinking 2x a week minimum), but some cross training certainly wouldn't hurt.
@Bari, I know I definitely had water retention. Even though I chugged on water, it just didn't want to leave my system!
I haven't run much, but I will probably 1-2 times a week and try some new stuff. Waiting until Gray catches up so we can do our 5k together. :)
You did great this week…regardless of what the scale says. You have the right attitude and the body is changing…and that is what is really important!
@Ann G, Thanks. :) I hope I can hang on to this positive attitude. :)
Good job hanging in there from Exile Island! I know what you mean about the pressure being off because when I stopped being so tense about small losses, I seemed to get bigger ones! Keep up the good work!
@Mary H, I think it was a combination of a lot of things, but I'm just glad to have lost a little more this week and can only hope I do the same next week. Honestly, as long as I keep having a loss each week, I'm happy, regardless of it being .1 pounds or 1 pound. :)
