Power of One: Week 4

Power of One Challenge

Another week has gone by and I can proudly say it was a better week than the past few. Even with adjusting to a new school/work schedule, I only caved once… well… let me back up. Friday we went ice skating (post coming soon!) and it was my first time so I was crazy nervous about falling. It took the hour we were there for me to get my bearings. I’d go again, it was fun! Afterward, we had Chuy’s, a Mexican restaurant and I definitely pigged out… no more fast food until Monday night when Gray and I both had blizzards from Dairy Queen. However, in my defense, I had eaten well during the day and I just wanted a little chocolate. It didn’t actually cause me to gain any extra weight or water. I know that because I weigh myself the morning after any fast food.

So yeah, those were my only meals out of the house this week. I’ve taken my lunch to school and I’m going to have to step it up… so far I’ve had sandwiches with real chicken, some carrots, yogurt, a jello mousse, and then usually some cereal… all gluten-free. Some days it is in enough, and others… like last Thursday, I’m starving and dehydrated before I am done with school… must hydrate more at school!

So the numbers…

This Week: 144.0 lbs
Last Week: 145.2 lbs
Challenge Total Loss: -2 lbs
Total Weigh Loss since August ’10 (153 lbs): 9 lbs

Yes, I lost 1.2 pounds this week! It probably helps that the past few days I’ve eaten salads… and a lot of fruit… I’ve added blueberries to my fruit salad and YUM!

The plan for this week is to step it up and add some exercise… yes, I’ve been a slacker, mainly because most days after school I need to eat and then I just want to sit there and do nothing. I need to get up and move though because we have 3 and 5 hour classes and I sit all day long.

    Good for you Becca! It is a lot of trial and error when you start out preparing and bringing everything with you for meals at work/school, but it sounds like you really did well. I love, love, love blueberries! Yum, yum!

    Sounds like a great week. Definitely hard to get up and moving while sitting in classes all day. It's been a while, but I remember.
