January Resolution Check Up

Earlier this month, I set out some resolutions for myself. I’ve decided I’m going to try to look back at the end of each month to see how I’m doing.
- Read my bible daily – YES – I have read my bible every morning, usually when I wake up, via the Bible app for iphones/ipods/iPads, etc. For the most part, there was only one day I didn’t really want to do it. I’m using a read the bible in one year plan and I’ve enjoyed it a lot.
- Read through a couple’s devotional with Gray – eh – We started off doing well, but now we’re probably behind a week. I may just try to get us to do it on the weekends because I’ve been exhausted and he’s been wired at night.
- Exercise 3-4 times a week – Big fat FAIL. I haven’t exercised at all, even with a billion Wii and Xbox games to do so. The days I’ve had to myself I’ve felt horrible… probably a combination of lack of sleep, allergies, and exhaustion. I’ve lost weight, though, because I’m eating less and it’s not junk food… so maybe a slight win?
- Read for pleasure – YES – I’ve tried to read as much as possible. I’ve read four books so far this year, three were for reviews but were interesting enough. I’m reading the Pretty Little Liars series and I just bought the 9th Sookie Stackhouse book.
- Drink 8 cups of water each day – needs improvement. I keep getting dehydrated.
- Blog 2-3 times a week about something besides photos and weight loss – Well, at least I’m blogging once a week besides Wednesday…
- Eat healthier – Definitely doing better. I have to pack my lunches the night before, and I’m trying to avoid hfcs, which is not as easy when you want to take your lunch and eat quickly. It’s a work in progress.
- Date Night – This has been difficult. I wanted us to at least watch a movie together, without distractions, but we’ve yet to do this more than a few times. I think I’m going to start insisting that Friday night be date night and we must spend 2-3 hours with each other.
