For once I’m super glad to be up here to share my weight on weigh-in day… because I lost almost 2 pounds! I went from 142 down to 140.6!!! SO I lost 1.4 lbs!!!
Here are my measurements as well:
Neck: up 1/4 inch
Hips: down 1/2 inch
Chest: stayed same
Waist: down 1 1/4 inch!
All I can say is that all the other teams better watch it because GO TEAM RED!!!
For those of you keeping up with my running, I’m currently on week seven, meaning that I’m currently running 25 minutes without stopping… I’ll be doing day two today, woohoo!

So, I haven’t posted any weight-loss in like three weeks, because there hasn’t been any. We started a new challenge at the Sisterhood and I’m on team RED!! It’s like the Biggest Loser Couples, except we’re teams.
Today I weighed in at 142! I know that is some weight gained, but honestly, I feel like I’m finally doing what I should be doing in the eating and exercising categories. I’ve been doing the Couch to 5k for 6 weeks now and I’m still going strong! The other day I ran for 20 minutes without stopping!!!
I also managed to lose a 1/4 inch off of all of my body except for my waist… stupid waist!
So, hopefully I will hold out and keep this up. We’ve been swimming a lot because it’s REALLY HOT outside.

So, the first day of the challenge and my current weight is: 142.4.
Not bad at all considering what I’ve been eating. ahem.
I’m off in a bit to do my Couch to 5k, we’re on week 3, day one!

It’s been a super busy week in the Sanborn household. Last Friday we travelled to Memphis to spend the weekend with the Sanborns and celebrate with Caleb as he graduated. We went to the zoo, ate out at Texas de Brazil (AMAZING!!) and got to see some friends. Oh and of course, we watched Caleb graduate!
Going back to work on Tuesday was sort of a drag, but now it’s Friday and I can relax. This week I also, finally, discovered the joys of Freecycle. For those of you who do not know, Freecycle is similiar to craig’s list, except everything is free. I kicked off my membership by giving away a tripod because we had two that were exactly the same. It was one of our many double purchases when we were dating. You would think we would have realized that marriage was a possibility and stopped buying two of the same item.
Anyway, I was browsing through the list and found a 50 inch rear projection TV that wasn’t working. The guy giving it away suggested it was only a fuse and so Gray jumped at the chance of getting it for free. We drove over to the guy’s house and picked it up last night. It is HUGE and almost as tall as I am! Today Gray worked on it and we now have picture but are trying to adjust the color. Regardless, we got a $400 TV for FREE. Freecycle is awesome!
Oh, I know that I did not post on Wednesday, mainly because I was ashamed of my weight. I’ve pretty much gained back the weight I lost doing Weight Watchers, but I have a new plan. Gray and I started doing the Couch to 5K program a week ago so that should keep me exercising. I’m trying hard not to overeat but it doesn’t help if I eat foods that aren’t filling. With classes starting back on Monday, I need to be sure I’m healthy.
Yes, I go back to school on Monday and I’m not really looking forward to the joyous event. Thankfully, I will be done after five short weeks.
On a side note, Taylor Sanborn, who never was dating Liz Ruth is now officially courting her. This is a big deal to use because we called it like two years ago. Go figure.
