Hey guys, I’m updating the feed. If you currently subscribe, please head over to the website, on the right is a “join the community” section and at the bottom it says subscribe to the feed. If you do that, you’ll be with the feedburner feed and that should be the most up-to-date feed. Once you’ve subscribed via feedburner, just unsubscribe from the old feed so you don’t get double the blog posts. Thanks!
Ok guys, I’ve added a few things to the blog, including an option to use your fb account to post on here. I figure it would be easier for some who have a fb to just post. Be sure to uncheck post to your wall (if you don’t want it to post to your wall.
Just playing around with a few things.
Delurk Day
Pardon the Dust
So, we just changed hosts and things are a bit messy. I will work on this throughout the week as much as possible, but until then, please pardon any hiccups. Thanks!
I did it, I won.

Yesterday around 4:00 p.m. I finished my NaNoWriMo novel. Yes folks, that is five days ahead of schedule!
We celebrated last night by buying gas, I know kind of lame, but we filled up the tank for only $15! When gas was around $4 a gallon it cost me $35 to fill up the tank. CRAZY!
So now all that is left for me to do is knit, work, knit, work, knit, and work. Oh and finish NaBloPoMo as well.
Back to back business
It’s been a long day. Work has been back to back, which means I’ve been busy. I took a break to go have lunch with a good friend, Rachel. She was my maid of honor in my wedding and has been a great friend for the past four years. It was so nice to catch up with her, it had been six months since I had talked to her one on one! I know, bad friend I am.
On a side note, Gray and I are trying out gamefly.com for a month. We got a free trial for a month and decided to give it a shot. Right now I’ve got out Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and he has Star Wars:Unleashed. So far I’m really like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, but we’ll see how far I get on it.
Tonight we’re going over to Kelsey’s apartment. She just moved in recently so we want to visit and see what she’s done and meet her dog, Curtis. I’m excited because I love dogs.
The novel is coming along, I haven’t written anything yet today, but I have been pretty busy. It’s time to get back to work.
GO TITANS GO!
The weekend turned out to be ‘Becca is sick again.” This time it was complete with a head ache and some awesome sinus crud. I’m beginning to wonder when it’s leaving me for good.
Yesterday was MTSU’s Homecoming but we opted to not participate. Instead, we ran some errands and hung out at the apartment.
So here is to a boring entry because I need to catch up on my word count for NaNoWriMo and there is a Titans football game on today, Go Titans!
A mixture of various items
I’m actually not that amazed I’ve made it this far. See, in the past I could have posted every day, but I’ve restrained myself.
Today marks the beginning of week two for NaNoWriMo. I’m actually on target with my word count and will hopefully use the weekend to get ahead. Right now it’s beginning to feel like a chore to write, so hopefully I can get past that feeling and just write! My story has added in some characters I’ve never thought about. It’s interesting how that can happen.
I know I posted about the chinchilla the other day but he did something interesting that night. I woke up in the middle of the night and could hear him in his cage. I got up to inspect and found he was stuck in the plastic ball that holds his hay. He had been pulling on it and got stuck and tore it from the cage. So yesterday we went to Petco and bought him another, bigger, basketball cage for his hay. We also bought him some treats to chew on. He’s been biting me a lot lately. I can’t tell if he does it when he’s angry at me or just hungry.
Today is Homecoming for our college team. I think we’ll be staying home. The only football that really interests me these days is the Titans!
Now I’m off to clean house and make a grocery list!
NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo
This month has been lacking in a few areas, mainly blog posts. I was really stumped for the longest time on what to write my novel about for NaNoWriMo. I’ve finally got an idea and I’m pretty sure I can stay interesting in it for the whole month. It was so hard to not write about vampires after my Twilight saga love.
I’m also doing the blog every day of the month deal. We’ll see how long that one lasts, and of course, how repetitive my entries become.
Would it be really bad if I leave the Pink for October theme up through November? Hmm… I need to find a temporary theme because it doesn’t look like I will be doing a custom one for a while…
So unless something insanely interesting happens over the next few days, I won’t be posting again until November and then, my dears, you will probably want me to stop.
Updates on life and other such things..
I’m beginning to realize that there are only eight days left in this month. I originally put up the Pink for October layout to buy me some time so I could create my own theme, a first for me with WordPress. Well, unless I get inspired sometime soon, that won’t be happening. I have the design in my head, but I’ve been busy with other things on my plate.
I totally slacked off in the exercise part of my life, totally. I stopped working out a week or so ago. It got to be where I wasn’t seeing any results and felt strained. I’m hoping to start up again, but I’m not sure I can garner that kind of motivation again.
Has anyone else noticed how close we are to Christmas? I saw a countdown yesterday with a little over 60 days on it. Where has the time gone?! It’s hard to imagine that I’ve been out of college for almost ten months.
For those of you who might be wondering, we haven’t killed Chile yet. He’s moved around the living room a few times because of my obsession with re-arranging but I think he might be in his final home, at least until Christmas comes and we need a place to put up our tree. Yes, we have a tree because we bought one last year together. We also have some ornaments we received as gifts. I’ve always had a fake, green tree and to me, that’s where the tradition lies. I don’t for-see getting a real tree other than to experience it with our future children. Traditions are what make the Holidays special for me.
Speaking of traditions, we will be carving our pumpkin this weekend. I started my tradition of watching scary movies a few days ago. We have Netflix instead of cable or satellite. Right now, it is the best thing for us and I’ve pushed all sorts of scary/horror movies into the front of my queue. I have to say that my new favorite is A Nightmare of Elm Street. It doesn’t bother me one bit to watch it, I guess it’s the classic 80s feel to it.
Pictures are coming as soon as I can get flickr to cooperate, until then…
