I love Fridays. I loved them even more when I was in school or working but I love them just as equally now for several reasons.
- Gray is off for the weekend, so no early alarms!
- I actually get to see Gray!
- We get to do fun things like visit our parents!
Anyway, today is a great day for several reasons. I woke up a bit late today, but in my defense, I’ve been fighting a stupid sinus cold. I’ve been putting off a lot of chores this week and I’m trying to be productive today, we’ll see how that goes.
But that’s not why today is a great day.
You see, I got a phone call today from a job that I found that I think would be a perfect fit for me. I have an interview next week. I won’t say where, but those who need to know already do. I’m excited! When I quit my job a few weeks ago, I began to be very worried but now I feel at peace. Even if I don’t get the job, at least I know my skills are worthy of an interview, haha.
I also did Day three of Week two in the hundred pushups challenge today. I made it! Over the weekend I will be performing another exhaustion test and hopefully, I will be moving on to week three. I am beginning to feel stronger and much better about myself when it comes to exercise.
Speaking of exercise, I totally forgot to mention that we now own a Wii. We bought it a few weeks ago and it’s AMAZING! I truly feel it was genius to make a video gaming system where kids have to move around to play the games! I’ve been using it to get some exercise and get into better shape. I really want to purchase the Wii Fit, but we’ll have to wait a while.
So, what are your plans for the weekend?

It’s Monday and I’m thankful I am not back at work in a place I hated going to. Sure, job hunting is not fun, but I believe I am at a place God wants me and I’m trying to pick up the pieces of my life to see what I can learn from the experience. I know Gray is thankful he gets his cook back.
Gray and I actually invested in our marriage this weekend. I’ve been saying for a few weeks now that we needed to get away and enjoy each other’s company, without distractions. I told Gray that he could plan a romantic day for the two of us and he did!
Saturday we woke up and packed our bags because Gray booked us a night’s stay at a local hotel. It was nothing fancy but it was a nice change. Because finances are tight, we chose to play a round of putt-putt golf and that was FUN!

Gray totally won by five points but we had a lot of fun and got to spend some sweet time together. I was actually most excited about the hotel. We don’t have television in our apartment because we decided we’d either spend too much time watching it or not enough. I had thoroughly missed it the past three months and we watched two Harry Potter movies Saturday night. It was a nice time to refresh ourselves, especially with school starting today for Gray.
A post will came later today after I do my second day of the hundred pushups challenge. I was soooo sore the past two days.. I hope it’s better today!
