Time to step on that scale.

What two posts in a row?

This past week was when Meland I decided to be accountability partners. I’m not sure how it’s working for her, but I lost 1.8 lbs this week! I know, I am shocked because I exercised maybe once. I have been watching my food habits and buying healthier food (not snacks) though! Jello mousse is my new fave at 60 calories!

Anyway, last week was 145.6 and now I’m at 143.8. Sparkpeople actually has me on my goal line!

I’m going to try and do better at keeping up with these posts on weight-loss.

Also, my measurements stayed about the same last time, I may try to take them again tonight, we’ll see if I remember.

Immunizations and a new way of eating

Monday morning I had an appointment at health services to get blood work done. Basically, they took my blood so that someone can see if I have antibodies for certain diseases. I took several immunizations this past semester for nursing school and it’s important to see if they did their job. However, if I still don’t have immunity, I just sign a waiver and continue on with life.

We arrived and I signed in more than on time and then I proceeded to wait for almost 30 minutes. I am not kidding. I was the first person there and I still had to wait that long! Ridiculous. When I finally went back, it took five minutes to get me in and out. Seriously. We get charged a fee if we don’t show up, so why can’t I charge them for taking up my time?

Anyway, the lady went over everything with me and I was able to schedule my physical appointment for Friday morning. After that, I will be DONE with all these requirements and just have to submit all my paperwork.

The other thing that I’ve been trying to do is eat healthier. It’s hard to do when it seems like all we have in the apt. right now is junk food, but I’m making it alright. Today I started tracking what I ate and I’ve been constantly refilling my water bottle. I’m determined to get some exercise in this afternoon as well. Yesterday I did my new Your Shape game and it was awesome. I totally was sweating and I only worked out for fifteen minutes. It is definitely my new workout toy. I’m going to try and use my new heart rate monitor watch with it and see what happens.

So my new goals for the rest of this week are to track what I eat (every little bit) and to drink at least 8 cups of water each day. I’m starting out simple and hoping for big results!

Wednesday Weigh-In

SO, the holidays were treating me ok until I had a massive amount of sugar and fat. Hmm

I am weighing in today at 146 and I’m hoping that this year I can kick these pounds off my body, FOR GOOD.

Weekly weigh in: week 4 of November

Last week I was 144.6 and this week I am down a pound at 143.6!

I noticed this week that I was in the 143s and it made me happy because my body loves to hang in the 144s for some reason. I’m sure all of that will change because of Thanksgiving but I have the weekend to recover from all the awesome food. :)

There will be a post coming soon all about pilates class. I can’t believe that the end of the month is so close.

Safe traveling for Thanksgiing everyone!

Weekly weigh in: week 3 of November

I weigh in at 144.6 this morning, a whole .2 lbs down from last week and I’ll take it!

The past few days have been rough because I was hit by what I’m deeming “allergies.” Two nights ago I started sneezing, the next morning I had a sore throat and spent all day yesterday suffering from it. I also was doing a lot of sneezing and each sneeze made me feel worse. ugh.

This morning I did my neti pot, which is really not a neti pot, but it does the same thing (it squirts up my nose rather than me pouring it). Let’s just say a lot of junk left my nasal passageways! I’m still stopped up and my throat still feels like drainage but I have to go to school today. Boo.

Needless to say, I sat off of pilates yesterday and thankfully, the class is cancelled on Thursday so I hope that will give me time to recover. It’s too bad I didn’t lose my appetite any… :|

Weekly weigh in: week 2 of November

I weighed in at 144.8. I up .2 pounds from last week. This week was a struggle. I think the running caused me to want to eat more and now my body is hungrier. It’s always hard to figure out how many calories I should be taking in while exercising.

Pilates class is now considered intermediate and so it is now burning more calories. I just need to find a balance.

I will do my measurements later.

Weighing In

143.8 is my weight this week. I lost .8 pounds! This is pretty awesome considering yesterday in pilates was arm work, surprisingly I am not dying for it either. I used 3 pound weights during the exercises and almost cried from the pain, so I’ll probably feel it tomorrow.

I haven’t run in a week, maybe two, and although I plan to run tomorrow, this is not good for my endurance system. I wonder how my 5k will be in less than two weeks, eek!

School has given me a break this week and I’ve been enjoying the time to get back on top of things. This weekend will be busy so I’m trying to get ahead before the weekend gets here.

I will take my measurements later. Last week, even though I gained some pounds back, I had lost inches in several places!

Parade of Cans

My weight today is 144.6 up 1.2 lbs since last week. I had a weekend with family and I’m pretty sure chocolate and wine are the culprits. Hey, I finally found a wine I like! Anyway, I will be back on my strict diet of food today.

So, I didn’t have time to actually go out and buy cans of food for the Lose for Good challenge. I knew I only lost 2lbs, but we had some extra food and thought it would be nice to clean house and give up some extra to those who need it.
Parade of CansSorry it is sideways and I’m too lazy to fix it.
Our grand total is:
1 bag of oats (?)
The rest: 6.5 lbs!

I’m glad we can do our part to feed America. We actually do this quite often because we’re given food by our families and so if we don’t use it or don’t like it, we donate it at Kroger in the food bank. This challenge definitely gave me the most motivation to lose weight. I’m ready to get back into the game!

Lose for Good Ends.

Alright, so the Lose for Good challenge ends today and I am at 143.2. This means that my starting weight at the challenge was 145 so I lost 1.8 pounds. I will take it!

I’m determined to be a good girl during the rest of this week because I will not be on my turf as far as eating.

I will say that I did gain two extra pounds during those six weeks so my 143.2 is down from a high of 147 throughout the past 7 weeks.

Time to face the music

143.4

That’s the number now weight. I lost .4 pounds this week. I was really hoping to be under 142, but I’m glad I lost. I tried to eat better this week, but Tuesdays are hard. I run out of snacks and then have a pilates workout… this leads to eating a bigger dinner than usual. We had homemade tacos and store bought sherbert last night. At least the sherbert was fat free.

The coming week is going to be a challenge because we’ll be out of town. Luckily, my mom and mother-in-law are both watching what they eat as well.

Here’s to another week!
