We should have a scrapbooking night. I've been trying to catch up on some of my projects. If we schedule a get-together maybe it will be more motivation to actually do it. Plus I'll let you play around with the new cricut that David gave me.

Hah, yes it was creepy! I watched it years later and wondered how in the world it even made it TO theaters. These days it would have totally been a straight-to-video movie.

I always assumed she knew he was enchanted, but I guess the ending makes it weirder?

Just because she loved an animal doesn't make it bestiality, we don't know if she was ever going to act upon her love, other than just love.

The only cartoon i remember seeing in theaters as a kid was a movie called Happily Ever After. It was supposed to be a sequel to Snow White, but it was a weird sequel and didn't do very well. We had free coupons given to us at school, so my parents took me to see it. I distinctly remember I wore a hat I had gotten in China, and promptly left it there. I never saw that hat again.

The next time I remember my mom taking me to see a movie was for It Takes Two or the Babysitter's club. The theater in Waverly did specials on week nights, so we'd drive down with our pockets stuffed with canned cokes and already popped popcorn... oh yes we did. hehe

I remember seeing Little Mermaid in theaters, but not really. My mom had taken me to some other movie and on our way out we passed the auditorium showing Mermaid, back then the auditorium door had literally portholes to see in and my mom held me up to look through at the cartoon playing to see if I would like it. I did, and I know she took me back to see the movie, but of course I don't remember that at all. Just my stolen sneak peek. No idea if I saw Beauty and the Beast or the others in theaters. But I probably did.

I can't say I identified with Belle's reading back when I was a kid. I read a lot, won reading awards, and even got made fun of for reading books on the bus, but I never felt like an outsider.

My biggest question after seeing it again, is did Belle know the Beast was really a human? Because it's never let on that she does, the servants never discuss the spell with her. If she doesn't, then I really question her sanity. It's just bestiality for her to fall in love with an animal. And what does that teach our kids?! Oh, how things were so much simpler when we were kids and didn't question these things.

It was supposed to be fruit roll ups, but you really need a dehydrator or 8 hours in an oven. I gave up after 2-1/2.
